A Good Memory

I wanted to share my pleasant memory of my father. Those memories are few and far in between so when I have one I want to blog about them so I can remember them.

I had to be about 4 or 5 and my teacher asked each student to bring in one of their father's old shirts to serve as your painting smock. It's funny how times change because i'm sure a teacher would not ask her class to bring in their father's shirt now because most kids don't live at home with daddy dearest.

Long story short my daddy gave me one of his brown t-shirts to use as a smock to create my masterpieces.

Over 20+ years later as I sat on the sofa I could literally smell the paint. I could feel it on my hands. I'm sure my parents don't have any of my early works or even remember me coming home with tales of how me and my bff helped each other create works of art.

This memory really doesn't have anything to do with my father. It has to do with something that he owned. But it's still a good memory and I want to focus on that. A good memory.
